Meet our Patient Advocate

Meet Anique Harrigan

Anique joined Cancer Support VI as a patient advocate in September of 2019. Her position entails helping patients and families navigate their cancer journey through providing patient grants, information and support in various capacities. As a native Virgin Islander she is proud to help local patients and families by alleviating some of the burden that comes with facing cancer. We are beyond grateful to have her as part of the CSVI team!

Tell us a little about yourself. When not assisting patients, what do you like to do?

I grew up in the Virgin Islands in a large family as the third of six children and have two wonderful kids of my own. When not assisting patients, my passions include meeting new people, cooking and traveling. I believe in being the voice for the voiceless whether it be advocating for cancer patients, the homeless, single mothers or anyone that is categorized as underserved in our community.

What do you enjoy about helping patients and Cancer Support VI?

I enjoy talking with people and as the Patient Advocate I get to do that every day! It also brings me great joy to know that every call with a new or re-visiting patient brings hope and some comfort in the form of financial support. Cancer Support VI is a great organization that is directly impacting the lives of Virgin Islanders in a positive way. I hope to be able to continue being a light to many as they continue to fight the battle against cancer.
