The Love Project

For the month of October we had a goal of making cancer disappear with the help of an art installation, created by two local artists

Our vision was to immerse the blocks of LOVE into the community and with the participation of our community literally erase the words cancer with the placement of ribbons.

And we did just that...

These blocks traveled everywhere from multiple schools, to the cruise ship docks, the hospital, plaza extra, red hook, the ferry dock, the fire station, the fort, smoking rooster and more...

Our community and visitors came together to complete this project. Cancer has been erased with ribbons that not only represent the many colors of cancer but also each individual’s intention.

These ribbons that you now see on these blocks represent...

Hope
Strength
They stand for courage
They are in honor of those who have lost the battle and they are in honor of those who are survivors.
They are in honor of those fighting the good fight right now.
They are a representation of all of us.
And a symbol that we have all been impacted by cancer.

They are a reminder that no one is alone in this battle and above all when the cancer disappears and is erased by all these beautiful intentions... above all, the one thing that is left is love.

Thank you Kelly O. for your amazing work on this project and spreading this powerful message.

If you have been impacted by cancer and want to share the LOVE, we ask that you please tag, like or share.
